This is my first graphic novel. It looks a lot like this:
A lot of work went into it, and it took five years to finish.
The floaty girl in the bunny slippers is Sophie. She just stole every last superpower in the world. By accident. She can never give them back.
A lot of superheroes around the world were hurt when ‘The Fall’ happened. They were literally dropping out of the sky.
They weren’t the only ones affected, though. Supervillains went through the same thing.
Now they’re just trying to pick up what’s left of their lives.
The story is largely modeled after Dr. Kubler-Ross’s Stages of Grief. It’ s what people go through when they experience a deep loss. These superheroes and villains are no different. They’re just not used to having to deal with it.
Sophie ends up becoming a superhero, the fallen heroes try to figure out what to do next, and one nasty surprise of a villain plots revenge on the girl that started it all.
Oh, and there’s a monkey that used to be a dude. Apparently people are more likely to pick up a comic if there’s a monkey on the cover, so I totally threw one in.
